Kibale National Park

Park area:- 795sq km with a diverse habitat of tropical rain forest,(of ever green tall trees),swamps, grassland and riverine forests.It is one of the most rewarding areas to explore.Kibale boast of 13 species of primates including the localized Red colobus monkey and the endemic Uganda Mangabay.Kibales most atrraction is the Chimpanzee, the most closest to humans than any other living creature. It also contains over 375 species of birds.

key species:- African and Green breasted pitta, Abyssinian ground thrush, Yellow billed barbet, Scaly throated honey guide, Crowned eagle, Western nictor, Red winged warbler, White napped pigeon.

The diversity and density of primates in Kibale is the highest in africa.It has 180 km - long migration corridor for wild life also habits mammals like the elusive forest elephants, buffalos,giant forest hogs and antelope species. Situated idealy in the heart of Tooro king dom in western Uganda, near Fort portal, the park lies close to the tranquil Ndali Kasenda crater area and is with in ahalf days drive of Queen Elizabeth, Rwenzori mountains and Semiliki national park.
