15 Days Culture , wildlife and primates In Africa/ Uganda

Day 1

Arrival at Entebbe international air port.

You will be welcomed by the Credit-Uganda guide who will great you and transfer you to Nexus hotel for medium or Cassia lodge for high accommodation on F/b in Kampala. Depending on the time of arrival we will have city tour of Kampala which is the capital city of Uganda. Travel time 1hr depending on traffic flow.

Day2

 After breakfast you will meet and greet with your guide who will brief you on how the itinerary will run and there after take  a city tour to Uganda martyrs shrine, Bahai temple, and the museum then alunch break. In the afternoon we will visit the Namirembe cathedral, Rubaga cathedral and the Gadaffi mosque. over night at Cassia /Nexus F/B

Day3

  To day we depart for the most beautiful protected area in Uganda; Murchison Falls National Park. En-route we will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, home to the only wild rhinos in Uganda.The reserve was created to re-introduce rhinos into the country which have been extinct since1982. Together with aguide you will tack the rhinos and observe them in their natural habitat at avery close and safe distance. After lunch at kabalega  resort, we will continue to Murchison falla park  via the Bomu community group. Over night at Para/Murchison river lodge F/B

Day4

After an early breakfast we start the day with  agame drive on the northern bank of the nile, with the chance of seeing giraffes, elephants,lions,hartbeets,leopard,spotted hyena and many bird species. The best area of game viewing is the peninsula between the Victoria and Albert Nile. It is known for it's abundant wildlife and has several tracks(Buligitrack,Victoria track, Queen track and Albert track. North to the Nile you will have the typical Borassus palm savannah which hosts it's beautiful Rothschild's giraffes,buffaloes and elephants. In the afternoon will be spent on an extensive exploration of Nile river, upstream towards the falls. This where the Nile explodes through anarrow gorge and cascade downto become aplacid river. You can admire on the slopes of river nile , the big number of Hippos, Elephants, Buffaloes and the Nie crocodile. The launch trip is aunique advanture, full of activity and constant surprises. Upon reaching the bottom of the falls we will depart the boat and climb our way to the Top of the falls where you will be rewarded with amazing views of the Nile. You will picked by your driver guide and transfer back to hotel. Dinner and over night at Para lodge/Murchison river lodge.

Day5

 This will be along day. You will take the first ferry to cross the nile and leave for Kibale National Park. You will travel via the Butiaba, Hoima, Kagadi and to Fortportal. On your way, you will see the western escapment of the western Rift valley(Albertine rift) and see lake Albert. Lake Albert is typical Rift valley lake laying at an altitude of 615m between two parallel escapments(Congo and Uganda). If time allows, you will visit Butiaba on lake Albert with sand covered beaches. Fortportal is asmall and attractive town. It was named after sir Gerald portal the British council general. It is located in the shadow of the flabed Mountains of the moon and is famous for tea plantations. We will continue to the dense forest of Kibale national park . Dinner and over night at Chimp guest house/ primate lodge.

Day 6

Early breakfast and transfer to Kibale forest national park. Kibale forest has the highest concentration of primates in East Africa up to 13 different species. More than 1,400 chimpanzees living in this forest, which is the largest in the sub-saharan Africa. We dedicate this morning to take walk through the forest in search of chimpanzees and other primates such as red colobus monkey, blue guenon, the red-tailed guenon and mangabey plus a lot of forest birds with the aid of park rangers who will be waiting to escort the groups of 6 pax each. The rangers are knowledgeable and will answer all your questions about the forest and the chimps. After hours of fruitful search we will go back for lunch at the hotel. After lunch we will drive to Bigodi swamp for a nature guided walk with a local guide. The Bigodi swamp is an initiative of the local community and it is known for it's rich diversity of birds and primates. Dinner and over night at Chimp guest house/Primate lodge.

Day 7   

After breakfast will visit the Sempaya hot springs in Semuliki national park. They contain the amosaic of different micro habitats, which provide diversity of wildlife. The area around the hotsprings is not only scenic but also offers great birding.We will visit the Batwa for cultural experience and on the way back to Fort portal, if time allows, we will visit the stalagmites and stalactites. over night at Toro resort/Mountains of the moon f/b.

Day8 

After breakfast you  will visit the royal palace of  the king of Toro, then drive to Queen Elizabeth national park .On the way you will visit the Kikorongo women group for cultural experience and stop over at the Equator for trditional pictures. As we enter the park, we shall have game drive along the channel track. Over night at Mweya or Buffalo lodge.

Day 9

This day calls for an early wake up take a cup of coffee .The best time for game viewing is early morning. You will take the channel truck which runs parallel to the Kazinga channel and drive towards Katunguru gate. The channel truck is rewarding with warthogs, bush back, elephants, bufalloes and sometimes by chance you will sport the leopard and spotted hyna.You will drive to Kasenyi an area near to lake George which is an interesting place for game viewing. You will visit the Uganda Kob mating Ground which is defined area specifically used by Kobs for challenging, enticing and mating. Watch spectacular fights as the Kobs defend their territories; look for lions as well because of the high concentration of Kobs attracts predators. After the game drive visit the fishing village before driving back to the lodge for full breakfast and relax untill lunch time.

After lunch we will have a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel, a natural channel 34km that connects lake Edward and lake George. While on the safe boat you can see elephants, hippos, nile crocodile, buffaloes and many water birds. After the boat cruise we will make safari at sun set in the area of volcanic craters. Accommodation at Mweya for high and Buffalo for medium.

Day 10

This day calls for an early wake up take a cup of coffee .The best time for game viewing is early morning. You will take the channel truck which runs parallel to the Kazinga channel and drive towards Katunguru gate. The channel truck is rewarding with warthogs, bush back, elephants, bufalloes and sometimes by chance you will sport the leopard and spotted hyna.You will drive to Ishasha sector in the southern part on the Queen Elizabeth National Park in search of tree climbing lions. After the game drive in Ishasha we will have lunch at  Jungle lodge before continuing to Bwindi National Park. Over night at Buhoma lodge/Broad bill

Day11

We Begin the day with an early breakfast and get ready for the life time experience of encountering with the gorillas especially the silver back. Ensure that before you leave the lodge you have enough water and lunch box. We drive to the park headquarters; we arrive in time for group selection and briefing by the park rangers. The park rangers will lead you into the jungle to track the gorillas. The tracking can be short or long depending on where the primates spent their night and availability of food. Seeing the gorillas is 98% guaranteed. Over night at Buhoma lodge/Broadbill

Day12    

Have relaxed breakfast and enjoy the beautiful scenery as we calmly go for nature walk along the Batwa trails,we go   through the villages to experience the traditional life style of the local people, we visit the traditinal healers,community school,community hospital, women groups and later we head back to the hotel. Overnight at Buhoma  lodge/Broadbill.

Day 13 This day you will transfer to Lake Mburo national park via Mbarara town.We will visit Igongo culture centre and later have lunch at the same centre. Later we will transfer to the park. As we enter the park it is likely that we spot wildlife like Zebras, Impalas, Buffaloes,Tops, oribs and Elands. Over night at Mburo safari lodge/Eagle nest

 Day 14

 After an early breakfast will haveguided nature walk. Aranger guide takes you on foot to the bush. Lake Mburo park is one of parks in Uganda where you can see zebras, impalas and Eland Africa largest antelope.We shall have agame drive as we transfer to Kampal, visit the Equator for the water experiment on the way to Kampala. over night at Humura/nexus.

Day15   Departure day, shopping and transfer to Entebbe for home flight End of safari.
