14 Days safari uganda,wildlife,primates and culture

Day1

Arrival at  Entebbe international air port. You will be welcomed and greated by the credit-uganda guide. You will be Transfered to Nexus hotel for medium or Cassia lodge for high accommodation on F/b in Kampala.  Kampala is the capital city of Uganda. Depending on the time of arrival, You will have  a city tour . Travel time 1hr depending on traffic flow

Day2       

After an early   breakfast, you will depart for Kitgum   en route to Kidepo Park via beautiful land scape, you will have lunch in Gulu town over night at Bohma or Fugly hotel in Kitgum town,

Day3

After an early morning breakfast, you will leave for   Kidepo valley national park. As you enter the park, you will enjoy the scenic view , spot wild life like Buffaloes, Giraffes,Hartbeets and many bird species. You will have an evening game drive and later relax at a fire place.   Kidepo park is dry , hot and isolated yet very spectacular, magnificent and virgin waiting to be discovered.  The local communities around the park are Karamojong people like the Masai of Kenya. These are traditional pastrolist  who have lived nomadic life.  Accommodation at Apoka lodge or Uwa bandas.

Day4

   After  breakfast you will have game drive along the  narus valley where the wildlife congregate much and it has adequate tracks to enable visitors to view wildlife in close range.As we move out of the park we shall have avillage walk for the cultural experience of the Karamojong and later transfer to Murchison Falls National  Park  after lunch. Over night at  Para lodge/murchison river lodge.

Day 5

  After breakfast you will have full morning of spectacular game viewing. The best area for game viewing on the north bank is the peninsula between the victoria and Albert Nile. It is known for the abundant wildlife and has several tracks(Buligi track,Victoria track,Queen's track and Albert nile track).The common wild life include Uganda kob,oribi,jackson'sheartbeest,giraffes, elephants, lions,leopards, buffaloes and many bird species.The afternoon will be spent on an extensive exploration by the boat on the Nile River, upstream towards the Falls. This where the Nile explodes through anarrow gorge andcascades down to become aplacid river. You can admire on the slopes of the nile river, the big number of hippos, elephants and the nile crocodile. Bird watchers will appreciate the rich birdlife.Upon reaching the bottom of the falls, we will depart the  boat and hike up to the Top of the falls where you will be rewarded by scenic views.  Over night at Para or Murchison river lodge.

Day6

This is going to be avery along day. You will take the fast ferry to cross the Nile and leave for Kibale national park. On your way you will see the western escarpment of the western rift valley(Albertine rift) and see lake Albert which is atypical rift valley lake laying at an altitude of 615m between two parallel escapments(Congo and Uganda).If time allows we will have a quick visit to Butaiba. You will go through Hoima,  villages and tea plantations .  Accommodation at Chimp guest house or Primate lodge.

Day7

Early breakfast and transfer to Kibale forest national park. Kibale forest has the highest concentration of primates in East Africa up to 13 different species. More than 1,400 chimpanzees living in this forest, which is the largest in the sub-saharan Africa. We dedicate this morning to take walk through the forest in search of chimpanzees and other primates such as red colobus monkey, blue guenon, the red-tailed guenon and mangabey plus a lot of forest birds with the aid of park rangers who will be waiting to escort the groups of 6 pax each. The rangers are knowledgeable and will answer all your questions about the forest and the chimps. After hours of fruitful search we will go back for lunch at the hotel.

After lunch we will drive to Bigodi swamp for a nature guided walk with a local guide.The Bigodi swamp walk is alaocal community initiative and it is known for it's rich diversity of birds and primates. Dinner and over night at Chimp guest house/Primate lodge.

Day8

After breakfast you will leave for Queen Elizabeth Park. On your way you might have agood scenery of the Rwenzori mountains after leaving fortportal town. On our way to Queen we will pass via Kasese and stop at the Equator for traditional pictures.We will enter Mweya through the Kabatoro or Katungurugate. Depending on time of arrival, we will have agama drive on the way to the lodge and check in at  Mweya  or Buffalo lodge, on time for lunch.

After lunch we will have a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel, a natural channel 34km that connects lake Edward and lake George. While on the safe boat you can see elephants, hippos, nile crocodile, buffaloes and many water birds. After the boat cruise we will make safari at sun set in the area of volcanic craters. Accommodation at Mweya for high and Buffalo for medium

Day9

This day calls for an early wake up take a cup of coffee .The best time for game viewing is early morning. You will take the channel truck which runs parallel to the Kazinga channel and drive towards Katunguru gate. The channel truck is rewarding with warthogs, bush back, elephants, bufalloes and sometimes by chance you will sport the leopard and spotted hyna.You will drive to Kasenyi an area near to lake George which is an interesting place for game viewing. You will visit the Uganda Kob mating Ground which is defined area specifically used by Kobs for challenging, enticing and mating. Watch spectacular fights as the Kobs defend their territories; look for lions as well because of the high concentration of Kobs attracts predators. After the game drive visit the fishing village before driving back to the lodge for full breakfast and check out to leave for Bwindi via Ishasha in search for tree climbing lions. Accommodation at Buhoma lodge for high end and Haven lodge  for medium2nights

Day 10

We Begin the day with an early breakfast and get ready for the life time experience of encountering with the gorillas especially the silver back. Ensure that before you leave the lodge you have enough water and lunch box. We drive to the park headquarters; We arrive in time for group selection and briefing by the park rangers. The park rangers will lead you into the jungle to track the gorillas. The tracking can be short or long depending on where the primates spent their night and availability of food. Seeing the gorillas is 98% guaranteed and it is the climax of the safari as you acquire un forgetable experience of watching them in close range as the eat, play and rest.

Day11

Have arelaxed breakfast and enjoy the beautiful scenery one more time as we calmly transfer to Lake  Mburo Park via Mbarara famous for Ankole long horned cattle. You will have lunch  en- route. Later as we enter the park we will spot some wildlife, like Elands the biggest antelope inAfrica, tops, Zebras,Impalas and Buffaloes. Over night at Mburo lodge.

Day12

Early morning breakfast, you will have aguided nature walk. Aranger guide takes you on foot to the bush to view wildlife in close range. After luch you will have aboat cruise on lake Mburo. Over night at Mburo safari lodge.

Day13

After   breakfast   we   will have agame drive as we transfer to Kampala via the Equator for water experiment/cup of coffee and lunch to support the orphanage. Overnight at Humura /nexus.

Day14

Departure day, shopping, or any other business and transfer to Entebbe for your home flight.
